How does an organization that employs 2 paid staff members manage to be Alachua County’s largest provider of free critical home repair for families in need? We do everything possible to maximize our resources, surround ourselves with great people, and stretch every penny to its fullest potential. Rebuilding Together operates with a very small marketing budget, feeling it more important to direct those funds to helping keep families in their homes. As a result, we rely heavily on word-of-mouth referrals and positive press.

The article which was written about a local veteran family who we had the privilege of working with this April is a great example. Trish and our friends from Good Life Community Magazine were kind enough to join us on a Sunday afternoon and capture the difference that volunteers are making right here in our community. The results of this coverage has exposed our organization to many families who thought they had nowhere to turn. We’re happy to say that there are now many folks right here in Alachua who will be having their needs met because of your hard work and well written piece.
