Women of Influence PDF Print E-mail
Women of Influence was created in January 2007 after I returned from a life changing seminar in Texas. I came home challenged, inspired, and determined to live the life I was destined to live and help others to do the same.

My desire is for women from all walks of life of every age, race and nationality to join us on this journey to live a life of passion and purpose. I want women to know how significant they are and the influence they can have whether they are college students, moms at home raising their children, women juggling their career and home life or retired empty nesters. As long as we have breath on this earth, we can make a difference.

I began with a weekly meeting with some business associates to discuss our growing businesses and how to keep our family a priority without pulling our hair out. Women wear so many hats these days and it’s hard to balance it all, but I’m determined to live my life with passion and purpose and have fun in the process.

As a result of one of my home meetings, we decided to have monthly luncheons at the UF Hilton and invite a guest speaker once a month to discuss relevant topics for women regarding our careers, relationships, health and communities. Past speakers include County Commissioner Cynthia Chestnut, Deborah Minck, VP of Tioga Realty, and Carolynn Buchanan, owner of Temp Force.

In addition to the luncheons, Women of Influence looks for ways to reach out to the community. Last Christmas, we sponsored a single mom and four children through Gainesville Community Ministries and gave them a Christmas to remember which included presents for all and a tree with trimmings.

I have a big vision to help our community but I know I can’t do it alone I was once given advice not to despise small beginnings. I’m thankful for all the women who believe in and support the vision in my heart. As our organization grows, we look forward to helping our community in greater ways.

Jill Nash is the founder of Women of Influence. Her mission in life includes helping people live a life of passion, purpose, and excellence in their careers, relationships, health and communities. She desires to provide her community with the tools and resources necessary to live the life they are destined to live.

Nash’s spiritual beliefs are at the center of all she does. She believes in a personal relationship with a living God who cares about every detail of people’s lives. She is both Jewish and Christian and lives her life by Judeo/Christian values.

When Nash became pregnant with her first child, she chose to leave behind a 12 year lucrative career with Cox Media to stay home and raise her children. When her youngest entered school, she decided to open an ad agency, AdVantage Advertising & Promotions. She wanted to utilize her skills in creating full ad campaigns and put on business and community seminars. She also wanted the flexibility to choose her hours and clients while keeping her family a priority.

Nash is a graduate of University of Florida, has been married to Pete Nash for 15 years and is the mother of three beautiful children.

An Embarassing Problem That Affects Many Women

A question about something unwanted yet life changing.

It can simply be a “WHY?”

It might be a working mother asking herself why she gets up 4-5 times every night, which significantly affects her ability to function effectively at work. Or it could be a grandmother wondering why she can’t pick up her grandchildren without urinary leakage. Whatever the case may be, the 17 million women that are affected by bladder control have a solution for this problem – and for more than 80 percent it can be fixed without surgery
