NFL Jaguar helps local kids

It was a hot and humid day at the Hal Brady Recreation Center in Alachua but that did not stop Jacksonville Jaguars’, Mike Peterson from being at the second annual Health and Family Fun Weekend which promoted good health and active lifestyles.

This big tough guy has not forgotten where he came from and returned to his home town of Alachua to give back to his community. The event was presented by the Mike Peterson Foundation which he started back in 2005. The City of Alachua and the St. Luke AMEC Women in Ministry also hosted the event where kids enjoyed the slide, rock climbing, face painting and balloon animal making with HappE the clown. NFL star, Peterson, spent individual time with the children and signed autographs for eager fans.

Mike Peterson is giving back again by hosting a FREE Football Camp on June 28th.

The Mike Peterson Bring It Youth Camp will be limited to 250 kids from age 8-17 and held at Citizen Field in Gainesville from 8am-2pm.

Scheduled to Appear: - Greg Jones, Jaguars - David Garrard, Jaguars - Fred Taylor, Jaguars - Adrian Peterson, Bears - Drayton Florence, Jaguars - Rashean Mathis, Jaguars - Daryl Smith, Jaguars - Gerard Warren, Broncos - John Henderson, Jaguars - Deon Grant, Seahawks
