Beverly Gatton and her husband, Chuck moved here from Missouri
in 1969 to open their first Gainesville Burger King. After fifty years
together, two children and three grandchildren, the Gattons show no
signs of slowing down anytime soon. The Gattons love to take road
trips across the United States whenever they get the chance, and go
back to Missouri as much as possible. They also enjoy cruises to the
Caribbean. They are very involved in the community and love to give
back to it. They are members of the University City Church of Christ
and are also founders of the Christian Home for Children in Miami.
Over the years their family business has grown and their children
are actively involved, including their son-in-law who owns “A Candies
Limousine Service”. In addition, Beverly is very proud of her beautiful
gift store “The Pink Magnolia”.
After ten very successful years in Lake City, The Pink Magnolia
opened its doors in Gainesville five years ago, and recently relocated
to its current location on West University Avenue, right behind Home
Depot. Although this beautiful gift shop may be a little hard to find on
your first visit, once you have experienced all the merchandise that is
offered, you will certainly be back time and time again. Because of
the many treasures waiting to be discovered there, the store tends to
attract many loyal and repeat customers.
Having so many years of experience Beverly has been able to
assemble a wonderful array of specialty gifts and personal items, many
of which are unique to her store. One very special addition who recently
arrived is the lovely “Maggie”, (the Pink Magnolia Princess). Maggie
is one of a limited edition creations from ‘Katherine’s Collection’, this
life size doll is truly unique, and is definitely worth a visit.

Designs, Seiko Melody Clocks, Root Candles, La-Tee-Da and
Aromatique home fragrances, Rick Cain Art, crystal boxes, decorative
