Do you have a large family and find hotel rooms just too small? Maybe you like to cook your own meals while away; it certainly makes a huge cut in vacation spending. We went online in search of vacation homes in the Orlando area and found www.AllStarVacationHomes.com and searched through the many properties they offer. Vista Cay caught our attention because of its central location and amenities.
It is hard to believe that this property, which is right next to the Orange County Convention Center, International Drive, Sea World and just a few minutes from Universal and Disney, is so nice and quite, all the hustle and bustle is left behind.
Large rooms with beautiful furniture, private balcony and kitchens that are big enough to cook a Holiday meal in really make you feel at home. Each unit has a computer with high speed internet and Wi-Fi, which even has a printer so you don’t need to drag your laptop around or find a business office, very thoughtful idea. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit which can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. Colt & Brooke were thrilled to see that they had their own Plasma screen TV’s in their rooms and of course there is a huge 42” TV in the family room. Vista Cay offers upgraded electronics and luxury linens. There are another 673 units to choose from some are 2 bedroom condos and others are townhouses. The resort is 1,500 acres in total.
The condo buildings run along a lake. A large infinity pool and spa sit between the club house and the water front, which has the most spectacular view of the firework display at Sea World. The clubhouse offers a computer room, game room, work-out room and guest staff to assist you with tourist attractions and directions.
On this weekend trip we managed to get tickets to a sold out evening of the Blue Man Group at Universal City Walk. We laughed so much our cheeks hurt. Live music that is almost electrified, percussion instruments used in the most unusual ways and interactive entertainment with the audience it truly something different.
The kids visited Fun Spot which is just off International Drive. Here you will find Arcades, Bumper Cars and other amusement rides. We all really enjoyed the Go-Karts as you could do this as a family and race each other around several multi layered tracks.
