“Wow Trish I just love that ring, where did you get it from, it’s so unusual?” This is just one of the many comments I have received since wearing the jewelry I purchased from Oaks Pawn and Jewelry. 

I had always been hesitant to buy anything from a pawn shop as I felt that I did not know what I was buying and how do I know if it is the real thing?  General Manager, Clint Asbell put my mind to rest as he showed the way each piece of jewelry that comes in is examined and tested by a professional jeweler.

Clint works closely with the store owner Salvador Fluriach who has over nineteen years of jewelry expertise.  Sal opened Oaks Pawn and Jewelry in 1998 as he had the vision of offering the people of Gainesville fabulous jewels for less but in an upscale and comfortable environment. 

This place is like Aladdin’s cave, full of treasures, from tools, TV’s, Xbox’s to the 5^th Avenue type jewelry and most of it at a third of retail price!  This is a fantastic store to start your Holiday shopping and feel confident you have saved some money. 

The store is easy to find with its Hummer of a billboard on wheels, which is parked right outside the store on Newberry Road across from Oaks Mall.  Oaks Pawn and Jewelry is not the run-of-the-mill pawn shop.  Here you will find knowledgeable staff in contemporary, sleek surroundings with beautiful display cases.  The staff takes their time to help you select exactly what you want, I should know.  I have spent hours and hours trying on the most jaw dropping jewels and everyone there is more than happy to let me browse. 

Last year I bought my nine year old daughter a gold bracelet and found a charm there to fit it.  Clint had it engraved for me on the back so that it was a truly personal gift and the whole thing was under $50!  I must admit that while I was buying this for my daughter I saw a ring that I just had to have for myself.  The ring is diamonds set into white gold but it is so unusual that where ever I go people stop me to ask where it came from. 

In one display case you will find a large selection of Rolex watches.  I have often drooled over this since they are so fabulous.  You can buy just the diamonds to go around the face of your Rolex or other delicious accessories if you are lucky enough to already own one.
