Daytona is For Everyone: Atlantic Ocean Palm Inn

AtlanticOceanPalmInn

We drove south along Atlantic Avenue in Daytona looking at all the hotels. Some are brand new and seem to stretch to the sky and others have that “I Love Lucy” charm. Atlantic Ocean Palm Inn has that old southern charm and is located right on the beach in Daytona Beach Shores.

Our Family Suite was spotlessly clean and huge. It consisted of a king size bedroom, a full kitchen, bathroom with hair dryer and another bedroom with two queen beds and flat screen TV’s. It was just like home…but on the beach. I love it when hotels have rooms with kitchens or even a microwave and fridge. It really helps families budget their vacations. Supermarkets and restaurants are right across the street.

We had plenty of sand filled clothes to wash and made use of the hotel’s laundry facilities. Expedia rates this hotel high in cleanliness and friendliness of staff . Children 12 and under stay free and most of the rooms are oversized. They also have rooms with Jacuzzi’s.

Spacious Rooms, Miles of Beach: Daytona Beach Resort

Views of Daytona Beach that stretch for miles, and a room that is more like a luxurious condo with all the amenities of home best describe Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center. The kitchen area of our suite was so huge that large families can easily cook, and all the cooking utensils are available. There is a supermarket directly across the street, within a very short walk. Located in the same shopping area are restaurants, boutiques, gift shops and more so there is no need to drive. The living room has a large, comfortable sofa and flat screen TV; but Spacious Rooms, Miles of Beach your attention will be drawn to the stunning views from the balcony of the endless beach. The oversized bedroom has two beds and there is a large closet where you can unpack everything! Even the bathroom is huge.

blue couchesTwo pools and the Reef Pool Bar sit right on the beach and there is an indoor pool with two hot tubs. The indoor pool is great when the weather does not cooperate and your kids are bouncing off the walls on a rainy day. In the evening you can sit by the fire pit that overlooks the ocean and toast marshmallows in such a romantic location. I have not come across to many hotels that offer a fire pit! If you are planning a Valentine’s get-away, this would be the perfect.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff is very thoughtful. The Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center exceeded our expectations and we look forward to staying there again soon. Maybe we will see you there!
