Merriment and good cheer were all over downtown Gainesville. Every year Judy Locacsio, a local Allstate agent, invites her friends to join her for the annual "Santa Crawl."
Lillian’s, Urban Flats, Sharab Lounge and the Hippodrome Theatre all supported this charitable evening. It was a requirement for everyone to dress up like Santa or in some kind of festive costume. Some came dressed as Elves or Mrs. Claus and one even as a Christmas tree! Many had painstakingly worked on their costumes all year.
Toys were collected and donated to Catholic Charities for their Christmas drive. This year, Santa’s bag was overflowing with gifts. |
