Many of us are looking for the best deal at the gas pump and may not realize that the best deal is at Hitchcock’s Supermarket. No they are not selling gas but they are giving customers money off their gas bill.

Hitchcock’s understands the importance of giving customers value and wanted to offer something that would significantly impact their customer’s savings.

The price of gas has soared and is something that has impacted so many. The ingenious plan of Pump Perks came from Hitchcock’s corporate office. The response was overwhelming and had customers lined up to get their rewards put on their Perks card. Hitchcock’s stores, recently implemented Pump Perks in Jasper, Interlachen and Alachua.

To get on the Pump Perks is simple. While you are in the store just give them your driver’s license and there you go…you are now a Pump Perks member! Customers are then given a card that looks like a credit card. You can either leave this in your wallet or put a smaller version on your key ring. When you walk around Hitchcock’s you will see the Pump Perks symbol on different items and the amount off each gallon of gas. The card will keep a record of your savings.

When I went into the store I was skeptical, expecting only a couple of items but I was wrong. The aisles are full of choices. You don’t have to change your shopping habits just look for brands that have the Pump Perks specials.

These change every week. Over 1,300 people atHitchcock’s Interlachen store signed up for the program in three days!

The gas credit stays on your card for 30 days and can be used for up to 15 gallon. 10.9 cents a gallon is the lowest price you can pay on gas as you must pay for tax.

Bob’s Mobil on HWY 441 has partnered with the store and Bob told me he has seen a significant change in his business.

Some gas stations have seen their business pick up by 30% because they joined the Pump Perks program.

I took my Pump Perks card over to Bob’s Mobil. When I got to the pump it asked me for my Pump Perks card. I put it in just like a credit card. Then I put my credit card in. It was great looking at the pump and seeing I had saved 65 cents a gallon!!!!!

Now I’m a bit of an addict when I am grocery shopping. I love to walk around the store and study all the money back savings and see if I can out do what I saved the last time.
